Hmmmmm. I bought groceries......again. I think that makes about $300 this week alone. But we were already out of - bread, cereal, and Dr.Pepper- and we can't be out of Dr. Pepper. Josh will not survive.

Tuesday! I forgot Tuesday.....and it was a good day. Sara made my hair fabulous! Low lights and High lights and a great cut. I'm loving my hair like this. It's easy and almost always looks ok. And it looks fabulous when Sara styles it.

Keeno. It was fun. I got a pity gift. But I like pity gifts. This one was an adorable plush Easter basket with chocolate candy.

84 degrees today and it is February! I spent the day in Granbury. New water heater- fun. I can't wait for Scott to retire and we can spend the days sitting on the porch swing watching the boats go by-if we want. Lots of people were out on the lake- absolutely gorgeous day for it!

I spent most of the day cleaning........fun. Sam's run. Big Lots. Laundry. Dust. Swiffer.

Each day that I fix Scott a lunch, he takes it to work in this lunch box.. I try to fix it every day, but he likes a real meal- no sandwiches........I usually make his lunch 3-4 days a week. Yes, his lunch box is......a family sized cooler! He likes his snacks!

We slept in. Some of us more than others! By 5:30, we were dressed and ready for church.

We love the singing. One of the songs, Faithful Love, brought back memories of Sara signing the song for LTC. She has a real gift for signing. It just came easily to her and she did it so gracefully and with such reverance for the meaning of the words being sung. It was a joy to watch her!

Casey was baptized tonight! What a blessing to be there! Praise God!

Cotton Patch for dinner with the Jordan crew! It is always a fun time with them!

Wedding planning! What could be more fun than a Bridal Show? Going with great friends! Kimberly and Diane joined us for a day of flowers, cake samples, photographers, event planners, dressmakers, dj's- Key phrase of the day- DO NOT make eye contact!
Fun memories
* revealing tank top, short, short, denim skirt, pink tights, and high heels- bad enough because it was a cold day.......worse ----it was a guy!!!!!!!!!! leaving the bridal show with his bag full of goodies
* as soon as we entered and were swarmed by vendors, I saw my bff Janna! with Courtni and Angie and a sweet new baby.

*fashion show....very interesting.....cute flower girl dresses. One of the brides will be on So whose ( or is it Who's) wedding is it anyway? later this year. It was an original dress, and the prettiest of the group........other things worth forgetting- black and granny- what 2 words should never describe undergarments in a fashion show of wedding gowns?!

I attended a fantastic crop today!. It was a Cupcake Crop! Complete with cupcakes, chocolate fountain, make and takes- cupcakes of course- a tag and a sack- too cute, scrapbingo, door prizes! Lots of door prizes. I won a pack of basic grey buttons- very cool.
2 of the girls I scrap with every week were able to go! It was very organized and just a great crop all around.
The highlight of the event was finally meeting an online friend. We have been on the same board for a while. We both have a Disney obsession! She was just as sweet and fun as I had imagined.
Her books were awesome and I was also able to see pictures of some of the other girls on the board. I hope to scrap with her again soon.

Scrapbooking today with friends. I finished a few layouts. We had a small group and chatted a lot! I completed over 200 layouts last year and I hope to do more this year. I have an exact number- I just can't recall it now. I am a member of a board and if you post an amount of completed layouts, a total is kept for each month and for the entire year! I was amazed when I saw the total. Of course, I'm still way behind lol.
I spent all day cropping...........

and one day all those layouts will be in albums! photo 1/09

I just looked in 2008- I completed 277 layouts-go me! One of the other girls completed 1001!!!!

Monday. Presidents Day. My head still hurts. Scotts does too. But he is tough and must work anyway.

He has worked at the same company for 23 years.

He never complains if the house is a pit!

He has hobbies and good friends to do them with.

He kills paper for fun.

He can fix just about anything.

He makes me laugh.

He enjoys his work.

He loves our kids and would do anything for them.

He moves furniture when I ask and moves it again when I change my mind.

Well, Saturday was a fun day- until my head started hurting again. I had migraines when the kids were little. The meds make me sleepy. I haven't had a full blown one in years. Excedrin and sleep usually take care of them. But anyway, it was bad for a day or two. It doesn't hurt at all today. I'm going to fill in the days a I missed with random information on the people I love!

Sunday- We missed our new Bible Study. Only the second meeting and already we are slackers. I was sleeping and Aaron was studying.

This is my flower bed in the front yard. The original owners made the heart shape. At first I thought it was dorky and that we would change it. Now I like it! And you can't tell it is a heart from the street. We may add flowers in a few weeks- or not. Exactly what I wanted for Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!

We had lunch at Cheddars- I am loving the grilled chicken pasta alfredo!!!! with a crescent and no brocolli, please.

My vday gift was something I asked for......and will be the picture tomorrow. It was too dark tonight. Mulch.....lots of bags of mulch.....Jake cleaned out the flower beds and Scott filled them with mulch. Now the yard looks beautiful! I love it!

Rox got a new puppy to love.

Friday the 13th. A very fun day! Basically, I spent the morning sleeping, the afternoon on the computer, and the evening with my scrapbooking group! I worked on my circle journal sign in page and rules. The evening was very fun and exciting and hair-larious! No pictures because my camera was at home... this is Angie, our host, but on another day at another place and me in my fav. shirt...

Amy was so sweet and found Survivor online for me! I'm so excited.....and I just can't hide it.......now it can be stuck in your head......thanks- Dee! Hair-larious!!!!

I have had a lazy day.....and my head hurts......again. I am so bummed. I love Survivor, but I forgot to watch it and I forgot to DVR it. And I can't figure out how to watch it online.

I got a swap back today! 12x12 weird everyday swap.......Awesome stuff. Complete 12x12 layouts, embellished and ready to add pictures. These girls do over the top good pages. I can't wait to use them.

I love chick flicks! I wanted to watch "While You Were Sleeping" today- while I scrapped my things that bring me joy layout. I can't find it......It is lost in this room somewhere.....another reason I should really get it organized. I wanted to take a picture of my favorite movies for my page. I did, but it is missing my absolute favorite. Oh, and if you notice, lots of my favorites belong to Sara. And yes, I watch White Christmas all year round.

Another favorite- the best thing since sliced bread- printing 4 pictures on a 4x6 photo........My friend Angie is so clever. I email her 4 pictures, she does something magical and I pick them up at Walgreens. The best 62 cents I've spent in a while. They will fit great on an 8x8 page lol

Another favorite-Casting Crowns- if you don't love them, you haven't heard them. GO listen! I have a great story about them- for another day.

Tuesday! Valentine Party and Crop!

We had a fabulous time. I recieved tons of cute Valentines and goodies. I was the 'loser' at Keeno, but we play nice Keeno and everyone gets a gift, so I got a great scrappy gift (Angie and I are sharing Stickles and hand made paper- she was also a 'loser') lol.

And of course the sweets are always delish!!!!

I completed the title page for my JOY circle journal.

Feb 9th

Our adventure begins..........we need a location for the happy couple to say their vows. We visited two potential places today. The YWCA and the Botanical Gardens. Both are gorgeous- the YWCA is a wonderfully restored building. The Gardens are beautiful. As is our Sara.......inside

The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. I read this about 11 years ago. It made total sense and I told everyone that would listen to read it. It's the book I've been giving as wedding gifts. I gave one to Sara a few months ago. It's a good book. Read IT!!!!!

Scott and I are happily married, great friends, enjoy being together, seldom fight, we are a good 'fit'. That being said, when I told him Laura invited us to do a bible study with them at Brazos, he was looking forward to it. Until I said it was a marriage class.........

It will be a great study, based on the book and I know we will be blessed by being there. Sara and Aaron are going also. We will eat out after and I'll get to see baby Mark- who is 4 and loves me!

Scott's Dad and Frances came into town and stopped by to see us. We went to Spring Creek to eat. It was good to see them.

Feb 6th

Friday.........First a trip to Sam's. A few dollars later, we are stocked with the essentials- toilet paper, Dr. Pepper, and photos from the last month! ( and another $100 worth of junk)

I love the photo lab staff at Sam's! They recognize me, know my name, and taught me how to use the ????? to order my pictures. I love good customer service and they are the best!

I packed up my crop stuff and headed to friends house to Scrap. She has an awesome new scraproom! We had a blast and after a few hours of admiring my stash....I completed a few layouts. These 2 are a hoot and we laughed so hard, I was crying! I arrived home in the early morning hours.......and my entire house was still awake.....at 4 am.

Feb 5th- It's all Angie's fault!

Today- or actually last night- I was led to a site that may cause me some 'splaining.

I played Nertz all day on playnertz.com- with Angie.

Not all day, but time flies while you're playing.

I did make muffins this morning- and these are my granma's dishes. I love them. I have a huge set. With serving dishes. They are from one of her restaurants. I'm not sure which one. I was too young to care and no one else can remember. Possibly one of the ones in Comanche, but my mom thinks the Drake in Abilene. We use the dishes every day. She loved to cook. She loved for people to eat. She loved us! When I had the boys she came and stayed for a few weeks each time. Scott was in heaven! Homemade delicious meals each night. I miss her.

February 4th

I woke up in a cleaning mood! It doesnt happen often- I got the entire upstairs clean- not organized cuz my scrap room is up there. But it is clean chaos! I did most of the downstairs- just not our bedroom. The kids do their own rooms. Or not........

Then the band took over. They are recording. I love to hear them.

February 3rd

Tuesday! I went to an all day crop with my COS group. Amy taught a card class and we made a set of very pretty cards. We used two techniques( glitter stamping and heat embossing) and MS valentine heart border punch- it is so cute! Then I used some incredible swap items and worked on our Universal trip album. DeeDee brought delicious chili and Amy made this amazing butter braid bread! Yum! Always a fun day and I didn't have to cook! Oh, I'm also loving watching American Idol at Amy's. It's so much more fun with friends! And we have sucked Andrea in......

February 2nd

Scott was off today. He needed a root canal- badly! I was very impressed when the dentist called to check on him that evening. He felt better than he had all week. We enjoyed a nice day doing nothing.

Superbowl Sunday!

Our friends have a party every year. The guys watch the game. The girls chat, play games, and snack. This year we spent our time looking at myspace and facebook. And of course, laughing at the commercials. MJ brought 3d glasses for all of us. Parkers glasses went flying off his face!
